Markie Post

Markie Post grew-up in Walnut Creek. She started her career as a television and film producer, with projects like "The New Card Sharks", (1978) as well as "Card Sharks" (1986). She produced projects like Double Dare (1976), and has appeared on many TV shows, including E! True Hollywood Story (1996) and Electra Woman (2000). Her most famous TV role was that of "Christine Sullivan" in Night Court (1984). The actress was on an entire 156 episodes of this show between 1984 and 1992. Marylee (Armstrong) Post is her daughter. She was a poet as well as a noted nuclear physical scientist Richard Freeman Post (November 14 1918 to April 7, 2015). With her second husband Michael A. Ross, she had two children: Katie Ross (born June 26 June 26, 1986) and Daisy Ross (30 March 1990). Born in Palo Alto, California, and grew up in Walnut Creek, California. She was an athlete at Las Lomas High School, Walnut Creek, California. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lewis & Clark College, Portland Oregon. She did some trick roping in The Wildest West Show of the Stars (1986). The funeral was held and her remains were returned to Michael A. Ross. She was a long-time Democrat. Markie Post passed away on August 7, 2021. She was three months away from what would have been her 71st birthday on November 4. She was 27 days away from Charles Robinson, Night Court (1984) which was her co-star , who died on July 11 the 11th of July, 2020. Even though the two shows are not related, Night Court (1984) was a finale that saw Christine Sullivan's character relocating to Washington DC. Hearts Afire (1992) began with Post as Georgie Lahti. Post was a new character in Hearts Afire (1992), and she later moved into a smaller town following her work in Washington DC.
