Sofia Margarita Vergara

Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish: Born on 10th July 1972) is a Colombian-American actor as well as a television producer, presenter and model. Vergara was the highest-paid actress in American television from 2013 to 2020.Vergara gained notoriety when co-hosting two television shows for Spanish-language television channel Univision in the mid-90s. Chasing Papi (2003) was her first big acting performance in English. She then appeared in Four Brothers (2005) and Tyler Perry's comedy films Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009) and received an ALMA Award nomination for the latter. She first played Gloria Delgado–Pritchett in ABC's comedy show Modern Family, for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards and eleven Screen Actor Guild Awards. Vergara also voiced the characters in animated films Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also a highest-paid Hollywood actress in the year 2020 [citation needed]. Since 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was born into an Roman Catholic family in Barranquilla. Vergara's mom Margarita Vergara was a homemaker , and her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo was a cattle rancher. The nickname she received was "Toti" by her five siblings, as well as a number of cousins. Vergara first studied dentistry for three years at National University of Colombia, but she left two semesters short of completing her degree to pursue opportunities in modeling and show business.
