Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter (born July 23, 1970) is an American actress from the United States. She was Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell (2012-2013) and Lacy (2010-2012) Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German origin (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a part of a song-and dance troupe that was a part of Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was 15. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter was on a tour to Europe after she graduated. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, property manager as well as a clerk. She played for the San Diego Chargers football club in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male friends were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex- San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who attempted to subdue them at gunpoint. The two of her friends as well as Hubbard were shot in the fight. Hubbard fled the scene while both of her friends were saved. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 year imprisonment for a series of rapes and as well as robberies. Carpenter brought Hubbard his flashlight from the police station on the beach. Hubbard had left it on the beach. This flashlight would become an important evidence piece against Hubbard.
