Mary-Louise Parker

 Mary-Louise Parker (born August 2, 1964) is an American actress. After her Broadway debut in Craig Lucas's Prelude to a Kiss, in 1990, Parker was nominated for a Tony Award for the role of Rita. For this role, she received a nomination in 2002 for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress In a Drama Series. She was awarded an Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Harper Pitt in the acclaimed HBO mini-series on television Angels in America in 2003.Parker went on to enjoy large successes in her role as Nancy Botwin, the lead character in the tv series Weeds, which ran from 2005 to 2012. She received three nominations to the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in an Comedy Series between 2007 and 2009, and also received the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2006.Her later film appearances include her roles in The Spiderwick Chronicles (2008), Red (2010), R.I.P.D. (2013) and Red 2 (2013). Parker was back on Broadway in the year 2019 and she appeared in The Sound Inside. This play won her her second Tony Award for Best Actress. Parker has contributed articles to Esquire magazine since 2007. She also wrote Dear Mr. You in 2015. In 2017, she appeared as Roma Guy on the ABC miniseries for television, When We Rise. She was a consultant for the political world on the Showtime show Billions in 2018.
