Maureen O'Hara Biography

 Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actress and singer who are both of Irish origin. The fiery, passionate role she played in numerous American film productions was the reason that attracted attention to the green-eyed beauty. Her natural beauty and glamorous appearance was highly praised and she was referred to as the "Queen of Technicolor in Hollywood. The characters she played on screen reflected her brave, strong character who fought to survive and gain recognition in a world dominated by males. She always called herself the "tough Irish lass" who did not compromise her honor and status to get the roles she deserved due to merit. Through her long career in the film industry she always spoke out against discrimination and injustice towards women actors, and for this, she earned numerous followers. The autobiography of her, 'Tis herself", which was released in 2004, provided an honest and unfiltered about her life experiences including her struggles as she climbed the ladder to success. She was an adventurous person who was not afraid to attempt her own stunts. She was a part of more than 60 films and was a international star. Moving on from Parra, she remarried again in the year 1968 to Charles F. Blair Jr. who was a brigadier in the past, former chief pilot, and a pioneer of transatlantic aviation, just to mention some of the accomplishments. O'Hara retired after few years of marriage. However, her happiness was not long-lasting as Blair lost her life in a devastating plane crash in the year 1978. The same year, she was diagnosed with being a victim of uterine cancer, and was required undergo surgery immediately. She eventually recovered. Her health deteriorated throughout her life and she was diagnosed with heart attacks that caused six as well as short-term memory loss, and diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara who was 95 years old, peacefully passed away in Boise on 24 October 2015.
