Kristin Landen Davis is an American Golden Globe- and Emmy Award nominated actress. She is popular for her portrayal of Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City. Early life and education Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado. Her parents divorced when she was an infant and she was an only child. After her mother Dorothy was a analyst for data analysis, wed Keith Davis, University of South Carolina psychologist Keith Davis took her in as an adoptive child. After her first marriage she had three step-sisters. She and her family moved to Columbia, South Carolina in her early childhood. Her father, who was adopted, was the provost at Columbia and also taught psychology at the University of South Carolina. Davis was interested in becoming an actress from the age of 10, when she was part of a community theatre production of Snow White and the Seven...
